The Parish Annual Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, May 3 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm in the Ed building. At this annual gathering, the Vestry – the board of directors of the church who oversee the church operations – reports to the congregation about our ministries and worship attendance over the past year. Of course, there will be ample refreshments and a fun icebreaker.

We also elect members of the congregation to serve on the Vestry. The terms of the following Vestry members will expire on May 3: Beth Mizia, Preston Irving, and Len Mizia (Rector’s Warden). Len Mizia will be running for an additional three-year term. (Beth and Preston will not be running this year; we thank them for their service.)

If you love the church and are called to serve, speak with Father Sean or a current Vestry member: Len Mizia, Les Venella, Beth Moran, Dave Benedetti, Alex Weismann, Gary Schlecter, Diane Kern, Carol Corbi. Candidates must notify the Rector’s Warden in writing of your intent to run for Vestry. Len must be notified no later than seven days prior to the Annual Meeting in order for the candidate’s name to appear on the ballot.

Please note that we are also seeking delegates and alternate delegates to the Diocesan Convention (to be held Saturday, October 10 from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm at the Sheraton Valley Forge in King of Prussia, PA. These are great opportunities to learn about the workings of the wider Episcopal Church and meet other Episcopalians. If this is of interest, talk with a Vestry person or Father Sean.

As the season of Lent draws to a close, we remember that our Christian journey is humbling, and that we should refrain from judging others. Consistent with this Christian value is the old saying: “Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes.” Besides, if the man gets angry with you, you’ll be a mile away.
