HOLY WEEK BEGINS

Saturday, March 28 (“Palm Saturday,” Year A)

5:00 PM – Holy Eucharist with live music and hymn singing. Palms will be distributed and blessed at the beginning of the service. Celebrant & Preacher: Father Sean.

Sunday, March 29 (The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, aka Palm Sunday, Year A)

8:00 AM – Holy Eucharist, Rite 1 spoken service (no music).

10:15 AM – Holy Eucharist, Rite II service with live music and hymn singing. Live stream on Facebook. Celebrant and Preacher at both services: Father Sean. Palms will be distributed before both services. Sunday school and Youth Group meet in the Education Building to prepare for the Easter pageant. Coffee hour in the narthex immediately after service.

Monday, March 30 (Monday of Holy Week)

Thursday, April 2 (Maundy Thursday)

7:00 PM – Foot washing, Holy Eucharist, and stripping of the altar. Livestream on FB. Celebrant & Preacher: Father Sean.

Friday, April 3 (Good Friday)

12:00 PM – Cross Procession through Langhorne Borough with other local faith communities. We will gather at the Middletown Friends Meeting House, 453 West Maple Ave, Langhorne beginning at 11:30 AM. After a short talk at noon, we carry the cross through the Borough, stopping at houses of worship along the way for a short inspirational message. The procession ends at the Mayor’s Playground (Routes 413 & 213).

5:00 PM – Veneration of the Cross and Communion from Reserve Sacrament. Live stream on FB. Celebrant: Fr. Sean. Preacher: Deacon Jim.

Saturday, April 4 (Holy Saturday)

9:00 AM – Prayer service, followed by polishing of brass and cleaning of the church by the altar guild

7:00 PM – The Great Vigil

We start in the Education Building for the first half of the service which will include a pageant by the Sunday School and Youth Group. The second half will take place in the sanctuary. Celebrant and Preacher: Father Sean. A reception will take place in the narthex following the service.

Sunday, April 5 (The Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ: Easter Sunday, Year A)

8:00 AM – Holy Eucharist, Rite 1 spoken service (no music).

10:15 AM – Holy Eucharist, Rite II service with live music with choir and hymn singing. Live stream on Facebook. Celebrant and Preacher at both services: Father Sean. No Sunday school, Youth Group, or coffee hour today. Happy Easter!

Worship lies at the heart of our community. We gather to celebrate the mystery of Christ’s birth and resurrection, remembering the grace we experience in His name.

All are invited to attend services and all who are baptized are invited to receive Communion. We are wheelchair accessible!
